Louisiana Fortified Roofing Program is Here

On October 1, 2023, Louisiana’s new Fortified Roofing Program launched their application period. The state is offering two rounds of 500 grants, each totaling up to $10,000. Homeowners who apply are required to repair or replace their homes to the FORTIFIED Roof standard set by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety. This means that the roof is now built to a higher standard to sustain stronger and longer winds. Those with FORTIFIED Rooves may be eligible for insurance premium discounts with proof of completion.
